MOTHER THUMPERS RABBITRY SALES POLICY

The purchase of a rabbit from Mother Thumpers Rabbitry implies your consent to the following sales policies whether you have read it or not:

Reserving A Rabbit

• Mother Thumpers Rabbitry has first pick of all rabbits.

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold a rabbit until it is ready to be picked up. The remaining 50% CASH is due at the time of pickup.

• A deposit will not be accepted until a rabbit is listed for sale.

• No rabbit under the age of 8 weeks will be sold.

• Although we do support youth rabbit breeders, a rabbit from Mother Thumpers Rabbitry will only be sold to individuals over the age of 18.

• We will not sell a rabbit to individuals planning to use the rabbit for child parties, birthday parties, or any other public or personal event - excluding rabbit shows.

• Mother Thumpers Rabbitry reserves the right to refuse the sale of any rabbit at any time, for any reason. If a sale is refused, a refund for the deposit will be given.

Picking Up A Rabbit

• All rabbits must be picked up within 7 days of receiving a deposit unless a later date is otherwise agreed upon.

• Failure to pick up a rabbit within 7 days will result in forfeiture of both rabbit and nonrefundable deposit; at which point, the nonrefundable deposit will go towards the care, feeding, and boarding of the rabbit that was not picked up.

• After 7 days, the rabbit will be placed back up for sale.

• Transport of a rabbit is at the expense of the buyer and is also the buyers responsibility to book. * Transporting a rabbit is at the buyers own risk *

• If a rabbit is injured or dies during transport, it will not be replaced nor a refund for the rabbit will be given.

• Once a rabbit leaves our facility, we are no longer responsible for any illness, injury, or death that may occur.

• Pick up will be at our location or an agreed upon meeting place.

Our Facilities, Our Rabbitry

• Mother Thumpers Rabbitry is a closed Rabbitry, meaning we do not allow visitors into the rabbitry for the safety and health of our rabbits.

• While our customers and followers are very important to us, please acknowledge that we are a working farm. We raise more then just rabbits and have full time jobs so we may not immediately respond to messages. We will contact you at our earliest convenience.

Health Guarantee

• We will never knowingly sell a rabbit with an illness or defect.

• Mother Thumpers Rabbitry encourages buyers to have a rabbit thoroughly evaluated by a veterinarian on the same day as pick up at the expense of the buyers.

• It is the buyers responsibility to thoroughly inspect the rabbit at the time of sale.

• It is the buyers responsibility to monitor and provide care for the rabbit after it leaves our facility. A rabbit will be stressed in a new environment like any other animal. Please provide an adjustment period.

• A rabbit that is not adjusting well may be returned within 48hrs for a refund of the amount paid for the rabbit.

• If the rabbit dies of genetic or health reasons within the first 24 hrs of sale, a refund of the amount paid for the rabbit will be given if the buyer provides a written diagnosis from a certified veterinarian. This does not include accidents such as but not limited to dog attacks (or any other animal attacks), stress, persons dropping rabbits, falling down stairs, mishandling or overhandling rabbits, stepping on rabbits, etc. We may ask for an autopsy to be performed to make sure the death was genetic or health related. Failure to allow an autopsy will result in no refunds.

• Mother Thumpers Rabbitry is not responsible for veterinary or medical costs incurred while a rabbit is in the buyers care.

• We do not recommend hutches or cages that allow the rabbit onto the ground as the rabbit will dig out of the bottom.

Quality

• We will advertise our rabbits as either show, brood, or pet quality to the best of our knowledge. Please remember that we are a small Rabbitry trying to establish ourselves so we may make mistakes on gender and quality.

• Pet quality rabbits will be sold without a pedigree and the buyer agrees to not breed the rabbit. Our rabbits are not spayed/neutered so consider this if you have them around other rabbits.

• We cannot guarantee that a rabbit sold as show quality will remain show quality or place highly in shows.

• It is the buyers responsibility to look over a rabbit and make sure it is clear of any disqualification at the time of pick up.

Returns

• While we hope that our rabbits are going to forever homes, we understand that sometimes the unexpected happens.

• Buyers are aware that rabbits live for 10-12 years. Rabbits (especially males) spray so an apartment or rental home may not be the ideal living environment for a pet rabbit.

• If at any time the buyer can no longer care for a rabbit from our farm,

Mother Thumpers Rabbitry has the first buy back option. Mother Thumpers Rabbitry must be contacted immediately and respond back to the buyer before a rabbit is to be rehomed, sold, gifted, or given away. We will buy back a rabbit for what the buyer paid for it or, in the case of a trade, the value of your trade discussed prior to the sale

unless it is being rehomed free of charge. Fees, winnings, and other expenses CAN NOT be added to the buyback price. I will not pay for the cost of your gas to get the rabbit, any show fees, and/or if the rabbit placed well in show - you chose to show the rabbit. We care about our rabbits and where they will end up.

• We offer no guarantees for our rabbits.

Mother Thumpers Rabbitry is happy to answer any questions you may have over the lifetime of your rabbit.
